About Jenny Danielsson

Konstkompaniet is her most recent endeavour, a platform for art and meetings. The showroom is located in the center of Stockholm. More info: Konstkompaniet.se

A Swedish freelance art professional and writer, she contributes to magazines such as Axess, Konstperspektiv and the online journal Konsten.net. Jenny is based in Stockholm.

Jenny’s enthusiasm for research, talking and listening has led to her leading panel discussions and conducting one-on-one conversations both on stage and online. Recent associates include Brillo Vox, Konstcentrum Gävle Podcast and Wetterling Gallery.

An avid radio fan, her solo podcast, The Artword, is a series of dynamic encounters with artists, curators and other inspiring individuals around the art world. Each episode aims to offer shorter, in depth talks around a specific topic.

Back in 2015, Jenny initiated a podcast about contemporary art in Swedish, in collaboration with co-host Oscar Carlson. In the talk show Danielsson & Carlson, the pair reviewed current art affairs and examined topics such as art criticism and the artists’ studio with invited guests, ranging from artist collectives to politicians. All episodes of Danielsson & Carlson are available via Apple Podcasts and Soundcloud.

Jenny Danielsson holds a Master of Research in Cultural Studies and Humanities from the London Consortium, University of London, as well as an MA in Art History and Theory from Stockholm University. She has worked as Gallery Manager of Angelika Knäpper Gallery, Stockholm and Art Gallery Attendant at Kenwood House, London.

Curiosity is Jenny’s main driving force, and she is a firm believer in collaboration. So, don’t hesitate to drop her a line on  jenny@theartword.com
